How to use Tax Refund Calculator
Reconcile supported annual tax with eligible Indian tax credits for ROR, RNOR or NR.
Inputs and definitions
Annual income facts, verified ROR/RNOR/NR status, supported foreign-income amounts, eligible Indian TDS/TCS, advance tax and self-assessment tax for the same period.
Method and formula
Compute the supported Indian annual liability for the selected status and compare it with eligible Indian credits entered. Excess credits suggest a refund; a shortfall suggests tax still payable. Foreign tax credits and treaty relief are excluded.
Illustrative example
₹95,000 eligible credits minus ₹80,000 liability suggests ₹15,000 excess credit. Actual refund depends on the final return and departmental processing.
Scope and limitations
The annual income calculation follows the selected residential status and supported foreign-income scope. Foreign tax credits and treaty relief are excluded. A refund depends on the final return, eligible Indian credits and departmental processing; it is never guaranteed.
These examples explain the method. The interactive result depends on the selected facts and period, and is not a filing or an eligibility confirmation.
